Been a great day so far. About to meet with Long Beach Rescue Mission CEO Jim Lewis and tour mission.

While I’m in Los Angeles, just leaving Mark Horvath and Skid Row and headed over to visit the Long Beach Rescue Mission, the Lifeline of Hope is doing (with your help) stellar work in Albuquerque!

In Skid Row in Los Angeles-“an outdoor asylum”-Mark Horvath.

My friend Mark Horvath shows me over the PATH Achieve Shelter in Glendale. What a super program. Mark is a case manager here!

Just landed@LAX, about to navigate my way over to Glendale+ spend a few hours with my friend +homeless advocate Mark Horvath. Mark is a blessing to the homeless in LA, as well as the homeless nationally. Would you pray for all of our nation’s homeless?

If God has given you a vision for your life, ministry or business, hang onto that word and stay away from the naysayers. Energy should be spent pursuing that vision, not fighting (as Spiro Agnew said) “the nattering nabobs of negativism.”

It is a warm and windy Memorial Day evening. I hope you had a blessed holiday and remembered our vets. As you settle down for the night, will you say a prayer for those people who have no bed into which to sink? They face scary nights!

Earlier this evening we had to deny shelter to seven people. Please say a prayer for them and our receptionists. It’s very hard for our staff to have to turn away people each night. I greatly appreciate our staff.

Life is so precious-here one minute and gone the next. Appreciate it! Earlier today I saw a poor soul lying in the middle of Central who had apparently been run down a few mins before. Don’t know her condition, but I encourage prayers for her!

It is one thing for a homeless person to find housing. It is another thing entirely for that individual to find housing+balm for the emotional torment+unhealed hurt which quite possibly contributed to that homeless state. We pray all our guests find both.
